Got a quote from Nick Ross stating they had drivers in the area and could meet my timing. I completed paperwork and was contacted by Jim one of their drivers stating they could pick up on the requested date (12/7) but it would be 20% more money. I tried to get in touch with Nick and the shipping agent Mark Sanchez to understand why the cost had gone up but was unable to reach them as it was after 6pm, I continued to negotiate with their driver Jim and came to an agreement that a friend of his could pick up the car on the requested date (12/7) by noon for 14% more money, I tried to contact Jim at noon to follow up and see if there was any concerns getting the car - no response, Calls and texts to Jim at 2pm - no response. Same at 4pm - no response. Got in touch with Mark and he could not explain what happened to the driver, Jim, but said he would try and get someone else. Mark informs me he can get driver but it will be 30% more money so I remind him what was quoted. i agree to come up 14% and ask Mark to make up the difference to make sure the shipment happens as per the 12/7 date. Mark asks to confirm the yard location and hours so I send the details. I call and text to try and get an update but no response. So now the yard has closed, the car was not picked up, and I am going to be on the hook for at least two days of storage fees.
My hope is MoveWheels can make this right on Monday and get this car shipped for the quoted price....
