Here is a copy of the note I just sent to them, to summarize our experience: I am writing to inform you of the official cancelation of order #XXXXXX. The original order was placed on April 24, 2012 for a pick up in New Jersey, delivery in California. The vehicle was to be picked up on May 4. That never happened, and we never received a call informing us that there were any issues. When we finally spoke to someone again on May 8, 2012, they informed us the vehicle would be picked up on May 11, 2012. Again, we never heard from anyone, and the vehicle was never picked up.
I spoke to a representative today, May 16, 2012, and she informed me that all of your orders from the east coast are backed up as you have no drivers. I told her we would like to cancel and receive a refund of our deposit of $154.95, paid on April 24. She told me that would be fine and that I just had to send a formal email, as I am doing now.
I expect our funds to be credited immediately back to our account, as you have caused us such a huge inconvenience. At the VERY least, you should have told us 2 weeks ago that you could not accommodate the order. Then we would have had the opportunity to hire someone else, and have our vehicle here when we needed it. Now, we have incurred hundreds of dollars in rental car costs.
Please get back to me ASAP and let me know when we can expect a refund. We are going to cancel payment with the credit card company today, in addition to posting our feedback online wherever possible.
Really disappointing service and awful communication on your part. Honestly surprised your still in business at this point.
