Todd contacted us on 10-2-2007 to ship his vehicle. He explained to us that his car is "his baby" and he wanted it taken care of and picked up ASAP. We agreed to make some phone calls to locate a driver that would be in the area to load his vehicle without requiring any paperwork from him. We were able to find a driver that would be able to pick the vehicle up first thing Wednesday morning 10-3-2007. Kara and I both called Todd numerous times and left messages trying to get in contact with him. We were not successful. Todd did receive our messages and sent his paperwork in at 7:58 PM almost 3 1/2 hours after business hours. By that time the driver was not willing to wait around any longer and continued on his route. On 10-3-2007 we explained to Todd that because he waited so long to sign and return his paperwork, the driver was unwilling to wait around so he moved on to another vehicle. Todd seemed to understand that. Also, we took extra precautions since he is so attached to his vehicle and made sure not to dispatch to the other two drivers that called because they both had 80% or lower ratings. Todd was also very appreciative of this in the beginning. At this time Todd explained to us that he was also in contact with another transport company who said they could have the vehicle delivered by Monday. Keep in mind, at this point we are working for free, we have no credit card information and we were doing everything we could to help. Two companies working on the same vehicle makes it very difficult to get a vehicle moved. Even after knowing all of this we still wanted to help. So we continued looking for a driver. At 5:34 on 10-3-2007 we still didn't have a driver, or a definite date for pickup. We explained this to Todd and he continued to talk about this other company he had that could move it. So at that point I told him that if they had a carrier that was able to give a definite date for delivery then he should go with that company. To us that seems like a lot of help. We didn't want to continue working on moving a vehicle that another company had a driver for.
We are a very reputable company and transport a lot of vehicles for dealerships, individuals and the government as well. With that said, we are a family owned and operated company and we TAKE PRIDE IN THAT. We go out of our way to do everything we can to help our customers. One thing we do not do is lead them on. As the owner I take pride in being up front and honest with everyone that I come in contact with. Most customers will respect that. I suppose this is the one that didn't.
What Todd failed to mention was that after I advised him that he would be better off going with the other company since they guaranteed a date, his response was "you little B****". Browns Auto Transport did nothing wrong and did everything we could to help him out in his situati
