Bulls-Eye is just a broker

I selected Bull's Eye auto transport because of the high ratings that is received on a auto transport website that compared different companies. I was also willing to pay a higher price ($1,795) than the average quotes I was receiving ($1,400 - $1,600). Dealing with Carla at Bulls Eye was fine. She is very friendly and explained how the entire process would work. Carla is someone that I would work with again, no question. However, they just brokered out the transport to two other companies, one to bring my car from Alaska to Tacoma, and another to deliver it to my house from Tacoma. One thing I did not like is that I was told shipment would take 10-12 days. Well I paid in full on Jan 8 and I received my car on Jan 27, to me that is 19 days, or a week late. Most of this week is probably because of what I am about to tell you...

My issue was with the company that brought my car from Tacoma to my house, Eric's Trucking. In my initial conversation on Tuesday Jan 22 with the driver (Eric) I was told my vehicle would arrive the following Thursday or Friday and that I will get a call with plenty of notice. Well after not hearing from him by Thursday morning I called to find out that he was still in LA and had just started heading up to Tacoma to get my car. He told me that he had a birthday the day before and didn't feel like working on his birthday. We talked again on Friday and he was in Tacoma about to pick up the car. Saturday morning he called me and said that the car will be delivered that evening and he would call me when he was an hour away so we could meet to pick it up. I got the call that night around 6:30pm and he was an hour away, however, he was too tired to travel the extra hour and I would have to wait until Sunday morning. He asked me when I would like it delivered, I said 8am, he expressed that was too late, because he really wanted to get home at a decent hour, so he delivered at 6:30am.

My message to Carla is: You should handle the customer service throughout the process. I would have much rather had you as the point person, and I would think that should be included in your fee.

My message to Eric is: When someone is without a vehicle and has paid nearly $1,800 to get it you should keep the excuses to yourself. This is a business, and I do not know you, so I do not care if it is your birthday or if you are tired or when you want to get home, I just want you to bring me my car when you say you are going to bring it. There is a lot of inconvenience put on a person when they expect a car to arrive Thursday and it doesn't until Sunday morning.

To sum up, i don't feel like I got what I paid for. Carla at Bulls-Eye was pleasant, but I feel like they should do more for the price they charge. Also, don't say 10-12 days if it is going to take 19. Eric's Trucking needs to focus more on doing what they say and less on excuses on why they will be late. If I ever need to move a vehicle again, I will probably try another option.

As a broker, industry standards stated first, after the carrier is contracted with, carriers ask the broker to back out of the transaction, as their part of the transaction is complete. Now for this transport...we verified that the vehicle was dropped at the shipper in Anchorage, AK and enroute via the first leg of the trip, and did confirm with customer. After verifying with carrier that vehicle was in Seattle, WA, we then verified with second carrier pick up and estimated delivery dates and advised customer. The information provided in this review is the first we knew of the incident and goings on with this carrier, and although those circumstances are our of our hands, we would gladly have acted on behalf and dealt with customer and carrier had we known. There is no excuse for what the carrier may have done, for sure, however, we can not intervene if we are not made aware of the situation. We are always available for our customers from beginning to end, we do however provide the driver information to our customers and allow them to choose whom they wish to contact. Our apologies for this less than smooth transport and hopefully we will all have learned from this experience. Carla
