When contracting with any business it is always very wise to READ the terms and conditions. Brokers are independant contractors who sub-contract the transporting of vehicles to independant carriers licensed by the Department of Transportation. A brokers job is to locate an available carrier that has available space to transport vehicles, verify the carrier has up to date insurance and their licensing is current and valid. We also check references and try to continue using carriers used in the past to assure us of quality of service to our customers, they are an extension of the broker, although unaffiliated. Quite to the contrary, Bullseye Auto Transport does care what company they contract with and the quality of their transporting services, from the equipment they use to the professional manner in which they serve our customers, again they are an extension of our service. Actually we ask our customers to rate the carriers when they post a review so that others will see who we use, and how they transact business. It is not unusual for a carrier to request additional funds prior to contracting and picking up the vehicle, only the customer can authorize the increase and this was the case here as well. We were notified by Mr. Weidner about the damage and informed him of the proper procedure to file a claim with the carrier and their insurance. However, we are very aware of the importance of the condition of the delivered vehicles and what it means to our customers, we never would just brush the situation or our customers off, as was indicated.
