I had my 1995 Jeep Cherokee put on a Car Carrier very nervous, the total of the move was $850.00 to move it from CA to RI. Everything went smooth and I paid the $100.00 deposit (pre-paid) so I wouldn't have to worry. All goes well, until March 8, 2012 when the car carrier tells me he is ready to drop it off when I told them March 9, 2012 seeing as that's the day I get paid. So after frantically calling the original company that set me up with CAA, (Hilton Auto Transport) Hilton Transport was a phenomenal company that helped me locate my vehicle at any time of the day. But anyways, they said we will let them know March 9 is when you want it delivered. So, the next morning at about 4AM I get a text message from the driver, that says, "I can not drop your car at your place, I have to go to Walmart because there is weight restriction in your area." and already I'm freaking out because my Jeep was not registered so I couldn't drive it home, and I didn't even know if it ran or it didn't. So I flew all around my neighborhood on foot and finally found a company that would tow it from Johnston, RI (The Walmart on Plainfield Pike.) into my city for about $60.00. (Hunter's Auto Repair Shop, again, great company). So I paid them the cash and we headed into Johnston to pick up my Jeep, when we get there I can see it on the transport truck, what I did see when they were un-loading it, was one of the little side-skirt (the plastic/rubber piece) it was halfway ripped off, and was sticking out. I don't know if that was caused by them or my family. If it was them, it's a 16 year old truck and obviously things are going to go wrong but still, they could have been more careful, I got them back on and they look fine now. But, all-in-all, CAA is a great company and I would use them again, even though I was relatively pissed when I got the text saying they couldn't drop it off at my address. But bottom line is, I got it, nothing was stolen, and they got it here in running order for $850.00 which is exactly what I wanted. I'd use this company, and recommend it to anyone, (as long is their car is registered! lol!) But, thank you Hilton Auto Transport, and CAA Transport for being a honest company with no surprises. I have my beloved 1995 Jeep Cherokee, 2D, 2WD that I have owned for years, and these companies did a great job delivering her to me!!!
