This was my first time shipping a vehicle and my research on the internet uncovered great differences in broker quality ratings and shipping fees. Andy at Capitol Auto Transport proved to be a perfect choice with outstanding customer service, including evening and weekend availability. The owner-operator driver Dale Eliason of Dale Eliason Transport also deserves the highest rating for customer service and communication - he gave me his cell phone number at first contact and called ahead to confirm pickup and delivery times. It took only 3 days to assign my vehicle for pickup 3 days later, and the actual ship time was exactly 6 days. If you want fast and professional service be prepared to offer more money than the lowest bid. I received a dozen quotes from $845 to $1,350. These truck drivers work long hours under difficult circumstances and when diesel fuel is $3.85 a gallon in California you can't expect someone to be happy to lose money by accepting $845 for this cross country trip. This was a completely pleasant and stress-free experience and these folks will certainly be my first choice the next time I need a vehicle shipped.
