We had to transport our daughter's 2009 BMW from Florida to Oregon. Having never done this before, at best we were apprehensive. After reviewing many auto transporters online, I happened to call Capitol Auto Transport at about 9pm one evening. To my surprise, the owner, Andy, answered the phone. That in itself impressed me. He patiently answered all my myriad of questions and educated me on the car transport business, sort of the do's and don'ts and how the transport brokerage business works. After thinking it over a few days, we called Andy back, he had my information from the original call, I told Andy we'd like to proceed and he said he'd go to work right away. No money was required initially which made us more at ease. The total price he quoted us on the first call was still the correct price - $985.00. He said he'd be back in touch ASAP once he had a good, qualified carrier lined up. Sure enough within 3 or 4 days, Andy called back, had one of his better carriers ready to take on the job, they were properly licensed, insured and had good references. The name of the carrier is Advance Car Carrier and I was extremely pleased with the job. They contacted me within a couple of days of the contract, made arrangements at my convenience to pick up the car and delivered it within the estimated delivery time of 7 to 10 days (8 days). My contact at Advance Car Carrier was Dan and he was extremely helpful in coordinating the pick-up. I was also contacted by the driver who was right on time. During the transport trip, I called Advance a couple of times, they were always there and always made an effort to give me updates. The car was delivered in the same good condition as when it was picked-up. And, the balance at delivery was precisely what I understood it would be. During this process, I was also contacted by Andy and CAT at Capitol to make sure everything was going well. All in all, it was a great experience and if I ever have to transport a car again, I will contact Capitol Auto Transport and would hope they would put me back in touch with Advance Car Carrier. GREAT JOB ALL THE WAY AROUND!!!
