I placed my order through the Car-Go Auto Group, after getting a recommendation from a family friend who knew a friend of Tom's. I believe I got a good quote for the distance I was moving my mid-sized sedan. I spoke with Pam who kindly answered all my questions, and once I paid a $200 deposit via CC on the website, got a call back confirming the pickup/delivery addresses. Pam then called me a couple hours later saying that they would be able to pick up my car that very same evening, and have it delivered in 7 days (6/10/13), and if that was okay. Of course!
I was already in NY, so my mom was able to oversee the pick up in San Diego by a separate shipping courier (Star Express). They delivered my car 1 day early on a Sunday around noon, and it actually worked out great because my family was around to drive me to the location where the 16-wheeler was waiting with my car.

My only complaint is with how I had to pick up my car; I did have to go ~2 miles down the road to pick it up (so not technically door-to-door) but apparently there is no room in a residential area to do the drop off. I met the driver at the side of a busy street about half a mile off the highway exit. The driver drove my car off the open trailer onto the street. He pulled out the paperwork and I signed the delivery documents (on the side of the road - not the best idea), and handed him the money in cash.

All in all, I would trust and recommend Car-Go Auto Group for their excellent customer service, prompt service, and honest pricing. Nevertheless the destination (and origination) addresses matter. Make sure you have a ride to wherever you have to pick up (or drop off) the vehicle.
