This car was purchased as a present for my 16 year old grandson. After dealing with another transporter for over a week, the car had not been picked up. As the Birthday neared I decided to get bids from some other companies.
On contact with Michelle with Cascade Vehicle Shipping she answered all my questions & gave me a quote. (not the cheapest, not the highest) I told her I was mainly interested in getting the car here as quickly & safely as possible for the the price.
I continued to get other bids & received a call back from Michelle with a different bid (a bit higher than the first) but, with a pickup of the vehicle that same day. I questioned her about the delivery date (thinking the car would be picked up today then stored somewhere till it would fill a truck coming south). She assured me that excluding inclimate road conditions (the entire midwest from Michigan to N.Texas was in a severe ice storm) I should have the car, 3 days later, on Friday. That sounded Great, so we setup the contract for the transport. At Michelle's suggestion I called the original transport company to cancel the transport.
To my suprise, 2 hours later, I received a call from seller stating the car was loaded & headed my direction. ALRIGHT!!
2 days later, on Thursday morning, I received a call from Steve, the transport driver, stating where he was & that he would be here in about 4, or so, hours. AWESOME!!
We made arrangements to meet at a nearby large parking lot (the transport couldn't easily navigate my gated neighborhood) when he got to town. Except for the car being a mudball (to be expected after 1200 miles on slush covered highways) & having trouble reloading a vehicle, which had to be unloaded to get mine off, in the sleet & ice covered parking lot, everything was perfect. When I got to the parking lot, I told Steve that was the wrong car. His eyes got big, his mouth dropped open & he exclaimed "what the ......" ! I said mine was a red car.......this brown thing couldn't be mine. He grabbed his chest & sighed. We laughed.
A trip, on Friday,to the detail shop did, in fact, reveal a completely perfect "Lil Rec Corvette" convertible. My Grandson is elated, but, his girfriend isn't pleased with all the new found competition. Seems highschool girls LOVE Lil Red Corvettes.
Thanks to Steve for his Great driving skills & great sense of humor.
Thanks to Michelle, for being So friendly & for making this such a GREAT transaction.
After seeing the response my grandson is getting to his car, I'm looking for another one for me. We'll see what some 40 something ladies think about it.
So, Michelle, be expecting my call soon & THANKS AGAIN!!
This was an Overall Excellent experience.
