First, let me say that I had a good experience with Cascade and my agent Nick (as evident in the 5 star rating). However, I would like to make some comments for anyone who is planning to ship a vehicle. First, realize that there are always three parties envolved (technically 4) with the shipping. You, the transport company (like Cascade), the dispatcher, and the driver. As I found out, the transport company is basically your agent for finding a driver to take your shipment at the quoted price. In my case, they actually had to increas my rate quote to find a driver (however they met my ship date exactly and I could have said no to the $60 increas and waited for another driver). Once they do that, they try to help you, but basically they are just a go between for you and dispatch. The driver may or may not contact you until he is in town (for me he didn't call until 1hr 15min away. This makes it a little painful to have a normal work day and take delivery of your vehcle (especially if your employer isn't flexible on you leaving to get it). I did like the way Cascade does the payment. They basically charge you their fee as a deposit and then you pay the driver his share on delivery. This normally gives the driver an incentive for arriving when you can meet him and not just leaving it at a storage facility that you have to pay the bill for (yes, this happens if you can't pick-up your car). My driver was very friendly and did a great job, however, he was not much for giving you a planned pick-up or drop-off time, even just AM or PM (perhaps it changes a lot). Overall, Cascade was good, just realize they make their money setting up the transport, not moving the vehicle.
