Kay,
You originally set up the transport from ND to MD. You were told up front that this would be a difficult move because ND is a hard state. You were the one who wanted to change the pick up location, and at that time you should have discussed price. We did not change price because you never approached us about a price change as you stated in your review, you were too busy. When you called in after delivery ( you had already paid the driver) there was nothing we could do. You released the vehicle from MN which then puts you in an agreement with the truck for price. There is nothing dishonest about that, it states in our terms and conditions :
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. is an agent for you. We arrange for the transportation of the vehicle by finding an appropriate carrier. We do not own trucks or physically transport the vehicle. Our services end when the carrier is assigned and contacts you regarding pickup and delivery of the vehicle.
If there was a question about the price you should have called us before you paid the driver if you thought there was a discrepancy. We quoted you a price to move your vehicle, that is our job. If we would have lowered the price for MN, your vehicle would probably still be sitting in MN. Our goal is to move your vehicle in your pick up window, which Jeff did. Jeff has never avoided your phone calls, nor has the manager Kim. You were told what our stance at Cascade Vehicle Shipping it, the price you were quoted of 815 is what it took to move your vehicle. No one was covering for anyone.
Also in our terms and conditions is states:
Due to changing and unpredictable market conditions, seasonal weather, traffic, mechanical difficulties and fluctuating gas prices, Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. quotes are valid for 10 days. After 10 days, please call for an updated rate.
You requested your original quote on 6/18/2009 out of MN, your set up transport out of ND on 7/14/2009. No matter what you originally set up for the original quote for, it was past the 10 day mark and the quote would have been re evaluated at that time.
We are sorry you feel the way you do, but we did move your vehicle based on our terms and conditions. We wish you well.
