I had my car shipped from MIchigan to California in early January.

The positive points of working with Cascade: I thought the people who worked at Cascade were responsive and knowledgeable. They answered all of my questions and were very patient and did not rush me. They always called me back on time and were prompt. They seemed smarter than the representatives from the other companies who were calling me. The subcontracting company arrived early and my car was not damaged.

The negative points: The Cascade rep and I had agreed to one price and then the subcontracting company which picked up my car charged a higher price and went and picked up the car without my permission (or Cascade's permission). Cascade didn't seem to have the control to stop or to control the subcontracting company (The subcontractor company's name was: Route 66). The other thing, when I first spoke to a Cascade representative, they told me that I could use a credit card but then when I tried to use it with the subcontractor, they first told me it was possible, then impossible.

Since the subcontracting company charged more than what we agreed upon, picked up the without my permission, and didn't allow me to use a credit card, I felt that Cascade should have done more to compensate for this. Cascade had a response "it is beyond our control" which may be true, but I think you should have other things.
