Our prices are based on an average pickup window of 1-7 days. If we know a customer is in a hurry and time is approaching the 7th day, due to weather or location and we have a carrier call asking for a little more money. We will call the customer and give them the option to go with that carrier or keep waiting for another at their quoted COD price. This customer wanted to go ahead with the carrier who requested $50 more. We do not call unless we think the customer is in a hurry and it is optional of the customer. This one was being picked up out of Pennsylvania which carriers have a harder time wanting to go to due to more narrow roads and harder on their trucks.
