Excellent service - came through for us at the last minute!

The short version - We were extremely impressed with every aspect of Corporate Auto Transport for shipping my husband's Corvette from California to Minnesota. Elizabeth Scafidi at Corporate Auto Transport made some last minute magic happen to move our car.

The longer version - We hired Mayflower to move our possessions for us and I had asked them for a separate quote for shipping our Corvette. The agent who gave us our quote said that Mayflower recommended A to Z Auto Shipping and had a quote generated for us. Although A to Z's quote was higher than other companies, I decided to go with them since Mayflower had recommended them. We were moving on December 30 (as in that was the day Mayflower was loading up our possessions into their truck and we were loading our dog and 3 month old into our SUV to drive to Minnesota), and therefore I needed the Corvette picked up by the 30th. The Friday before Christmas, I received a voicemail from A to Z saying that our pickup window was going to be January 1-3 (instead of December 28-30 as originally agreed) which obviously was not going to work. I called them after the Christmas holiday, was given the driver's cell number and was asked to work it out with him directly. He said he didn't think he would actually be in California until the 4th. I told him without a specific window I couldn't possibly find someone to hand over the keys and asked if I could leave it at a hub/depot in Southern California for him to pick up there. He explained that he was a "one horse operation" and had a friend with a motel in Fontana that we perhaps could leave it at. This obviously was not going to be an option.

In a panic in the days after Christmas, I called several of the transport companies that had originally given me a quote. I had to leave voicemails at many of the other companies, but when I called Corporate Auto Transport, Elizabeth Scafidi picked up the phone and ended up saving the day on our auto shipment. She was extremely helpful and told me she could work something out to get it picked up by the end of day on December 30 (yes, that was in two days!) and she was able to work it so that I did not incur a last minute fee. Since our car was going to get to Minnesota before we were, she even arranged for it to be held at no extra charge at a location near Minneapolis so that we could pick it up there at our convenience upon arrival several days later. All of this cost just $995. (We also lost $300 to A to Z Shipping between the deposit and cancellation fee. When I cancelled they offered to find another driver and told me that I had been "ok" with the change in dates when they last talked to me even when I said it wasn't going to work and that's when I was told to discuss it directly with the driver!) Obviously I was very secure in our decision to switch to Corporate Auto Transport.


Due to the last minute nature of our booking with Corporate Auto Transport, we decided to meet Jake the driver in Palm Springs on our way out of Southern California on the evening of December 30 since he was unable to make it to our home on the 29th as originally thought. He was extremely nice and professional and he sent my husband a photo text message of his beloved Corvette safe and sound at the location in Minnesota a few days later.


In summary, I highly recommend Corporate Auto Transport. If they were able to provide such impressive service while we were under such a time crunch, I'm sure they must be absolutely phenomenal when everything is planned in advance! Moving is always a hassle and it's no fun two days before moving day to have to change plans for vehicle shipment, but Corporate Auto Transport made it happen and did not charge any egregious fees for a last minute booking.

Thanks Jennifer! We really appreciate the great review. The excellent info and details is awesome to see.. We try really really hard to come through for everyone, so we are so glad it shows! If we didn't think something could happen we would definitely tell you the truth, in your case it was all possible and we made it happen.
