I have had several cars transported over the past few years and since they have always been old cars they are usually more difficult to transport than current models. I have had no really bad experiences - I think that, for the most part, the teams involved in car transportation are very professional. However, this particular job was noteworthy because of the extra effort that the truckers gave.
First of all, they were sent to the wrong town - Douglasville, GA instead of Douglas, GA, 220 miles away. Did they complain? Well, I am sure they did to someone, but not to us. When I heard they had not arrived at the pick-up point on Monday evening as expected, I changed all my plans about perhaps getting the car on Wednesday. However, these guys decided to get it to me on time anyway.
They picked it up Tuesday afternoon and still arrived here Wednesday morning! That's more than 800 miles straight through! I don't even know if that is legal - although there were two drivers. The car was delivered very courteously without a scratch, and the drivers did not even stop for a cup of coffee, saying they still had two more deliveries to make before they could go home.
On top of all that, this is the least expensive cross-country transport job I have had. I will certainly use them again.
