Shipping my car from Los Angeles to Seattle

I had a car in Los Angles that I wanted to have shipped to my house in Seattle. I did the Internet search and Crossover Auto offered the lowest bid at $650 (plus $5 processing fee). They required a deposit of $150 to be charged to my credit card when the shipment was scheduled. I asked them to not charge me until the car was picked up, and they complied. I think they were planning to keep the deposit money as their fee and find a driver in LA who would be willing to transport the car to Seattle for $500. They could not find anyone to do it for less than $550, and instead of keeping me waiting for a lower bid, they decided to lower their fee to $100 so the remaining $550 could go to the driver. A very polite and punctual driver picked up my car in LA as scheduled and delivered it to my house in Seattle as promised. There was no damage to the car and I paid him the remaining $550. I had seen a lot of warning on the Internet about potential problems with low cost shipping and getting what you pay for. I am glad I didn't go with one of the higher priced shipping companies. I don't know how I could have gotten a better deal if I had paid more.
