I was told that this company needed a 3 to 5 day window to schedule pickup of my motorcycle. I told the owner, and at least two others, that I would be moving out of Alabama, back to Pennsylvania, so there was no option to not get my bike moved.
I set up the time to pick up my bike, and never heard from the company. I expected some type of feedback to let me know when my bike would be picked up, considering that I would leave the state of Alabama permanently and not be back. I called them on the third day and was told that no trucks were available, but they were working on it. I called on the 4th day, was told the same thing.
At this point things got ugly. It was a simple proposition. They knew what I needed, to get my bike picked up before I leave the area, and they failed. They said that they needed 3 to 5 days, which they had, and they completely failed. They were abusive and insulting on the phone, basically blaming me for not having someone in Alabama that I could leave the bike with while they find some way to ship it. I may have been able to find someone, but they couldn't give me any idea how long my bike would be there. Can you imagine asking a friend to keep your bike, and you need to tell them, "I have no idea when this will be picked up, but please keep it for me for as long as it takes this company to contact you."
I could not believe how the person at Motorcycle Movers spoke to me, "What do you want us to do SIR?!" "We don't have any trucks available SIR!" Then another person takes over, "I heard ? tell you we didn't have any trucks available. Don't you understand what she means?!" Then back to the first, "OK, WHAT IS YOUR NAME SIR?!" Me-"You know what my name is." "OH, MICHAEL ????" Basically yelling at me at this point because they failed to pick up my bike as I expected them to do, and as they said that they would do. Unbelievable.
This is, by far, the worst experience that I have ever had with ANY company that I have tried to do business with. Not just shipping companies, ANY company. Avoid them at all cost. You are simply wasting your time in dealing with them.
I contacted another company, A-A Motorcycle Transport, on the day I was flying out of Alabama, and they came up with a plan to help me within minutes, and they did exactly what they said that they would do. It was picked up on time and delivered on time.
