Do not even consider using this company. First of all, the car arrived 5 hours late in the dark. It was a brand new Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500 arriving from a Ford dealership showroom. I discovered a 4" dent in the front bumper and mud splashed around the tires with the tiny little flashlight he gave me to look at the car. I believe the car was taken for a joy ride in between transport stations because the mileage was increased, mud splashed, and the dent. Upon calling DAS to report this before I signed the bill of lading they said, "The claims department will take care of this. Don't worry about it. Sign it so our driver can be on his way because he still has two more cars to deliver." I felt rushed in the dark and coerced into signing even though I felt uncomfortable about the matter. We also discovered they had placed the car underneath a vehicle that was leaking oil. So that was all over the roof. The next day I discover that the Ford dealer had sent along 2 sets of keys and the owner's manuals with the DAS driver. We only received one set of keys. Now someone is out there with keys, manual, and my address. This is quite a sporty, collectible car that I now have to worry could be stolen. To deal with the dent, I had to get two estimates, pictures, and fill out the claims form and send it all in to them. Both estimates were for over $1500. To deal with the missing keys and manual, I had to get a quote from the Ford dealership. They suggested that I should have all new keys made since someone out there has a set. I didn't even do that, but the second set of keys and manual were going to cost over $225 alone. This was to be faxed to a different customer service department than the dent people. Bottom line, after nearly three weeks of the run around from both departments, I was informed that I would get only $150 for the dent. Tina Davis had reviewed the case and determined that, yes, they had done the damage, but I had not purchased the extra $300 insurance, so it would not be covered. Meanwhile, the original driver did not write separately about the keys and manual on the bill of lading, so they cannot reimburse me for that either. I want to know why it's my fault their driver didn't write this down. I'm getting my lawyer on this now because I feel so strongly about the poor way they have handled this situation. I'm also off to find more websites to write more scathing reviews! I don't want anybody to have to go through what I've gone through.
