Having concerns about my original 1979 Trans Am with 9900 original miles on it I chose DAS because I was told the car would be handled with utmost care. To my surprise it sat in an outdoor lot in Kentucky during at least 2 snow storms. With the weather at freezing temperatures I can only assume the automobiles heater core cracked while in there possesion but cannot prove this.
This car is highly collectable and would have thought it would have been handled with that in mind (as I spoke my concerns regarding this).
Also when I went to pick it up at their holding facility here in Sandy Utah, the attendant was incredibly rude mentioning "I'm just lucky he was there and I would have had to wait another day if I had come to get it 1/2 hour later." I mentioned DAS had told me their operating hours and was well within the hours of operation, he mentioned "well they don't know anything". It was also raining/snowing here in Utah, when I went to get in the car I noticed the door had not been shut all the way letting rain/snow into the interior of the car. The drivers seat was completely soaked and the car has a mildew smell that is hard to get rid of. Keep in mind this car has been indoors nearly all of it 34 years never seeing moisture until I had it shipped with DAS.
I would not recommend DAS unless your vehicle is one that already needs to be worked on or is not a collector addition vehicle. Very disappointed.......
