DAS takes theft reports very seriously. However, both our pre-ship documentation and contract are crystal clear that personal items are not allowed in the vehicle and any items left in the vehicle are not the responsiblity of DAS (just like every other car carrier). In this case the customer reported cash, jewerly and a Nintendo game missing. We are a bit confused as to why cash and jewery couldn't stay with the customer on his plane flight and why such valuables would be left unattended in the trunk of a car being shipped. As we do not look in or inventory the trunk, it is impossible for DAS to confirm what was in there.
