It is beyond me as to why this company gets bad reviews - since my experience with them is very good.

After unsuccessfully trying to get my car shipped via three of the 5-star rated carriers on this site - I resorted to DAS.

As stated above, 3 of the 5-star rated shippers could not get my car moved with a 3 week notification. Since DAS is the auto shipper for eBay, and the people at their local depot told me that they are also the exclusive shippers for some of the NFL teams and some major corporations, I decided to give them a try.

The representative on the phone was knowledgeable and helpful. Their customer service was courteous and helpful. I chose the more expensive "expedited" shipping option since I needed to get the car moved immediately. Their price was highly competitive with the other quotes – their “expedited” service option was about the same price as the normal service option from the other carriers/brokers. The other carriers/brokers told me that they could get my car moved on an “expedited” basis only if I paid about 50% above the standard quote. DAS quoted me a 10 day time period to move the car from Pittsburgh to Las Vegas. Their contract states that for every day they are late on delivery, they have to refund you $60 per day (expedited service only).

I drove the car to their local pickup depot on 1/7 and sure enough, it showed up in LV on 1/17. The car was in the same condition as I left it (except that they washed it!) and the stuff that I left in the truck was still in the trunk (although they do not recommend doing this).

All during that time period, I was able to track the shipment over the internet. The car sat in Pittsburgh for several days before they picked it up. However, once they picked it up, it zoomed across the country very quickly.

Maybe I just got lucky – but I can only speak for my experience with them – very good.
