I shipped my 500SL from the D.C. area to Palm Beach, FL. We dropped the car off at a contract towing company in Manasas on a Friday afternoon, a bit of a long way from home. The people there were very nice, and everything went fine.

I kept checking their online tracking, and their system didn't say they had our car until Monday morning. I guess nobody updated their system over the weekend, but once it showed that they had it, it was cool to check on it every few hours as it moved South. It gave the nearest town each time, which was fun because we've done that drive many times, and know all the towns along the way. By Wednesday, it was in Jonesboro, GA for the whole day, but just before we left for the airport on Thursday, we saw that it was already at Delray Beach waiting for us to come pick it up.

The original plan was to take a cab straight from the airport to the DAS facility in Delray, but our flight was delayed to late at night, and they were closed, so we just took a cab to the house. We called Friday morning, and added door delivery service.

The car was delivered right to our driveway, on a small truck, very clean, and the guy that did the delivery was very nice. The best part is that not a single mile was added to the odometer, and we didn't have to do that long drive.

We will use DAS again, without question.
