"Not At All" Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS)

I dropped car off in Gardena, CA on 1/31, as agreed to. It sat there for 14 days before it started moving east. It's now on DAS's lot somehwere in Illinois and has been sitting there for 5 days. My current delivery date is now 2/25! The original promised date was 2/14. So, I got this reccomendation from AAA, thinking they would vouch for the "Dependable" in their name. So much for that idea. Also, I had a POD sent from California to Pittsburgh on the same start date (1/31) and it arrived when promised (2/11). So weather (and it was not very good during this period) cannot be used as an excuse. I can only believe these people don't really care about being "Dependable". Their tracking system was actually down for 3 days and they couldn't tell me where my vehicle was! at one point. No one from DAS (or AAA) has called me and my contacts with their customer service people yielded no more help or info than their automated tracking system. I can't recommend this company to mail a letter on your behalf. I'm thinking of informing my insurance company (AAA) that the car is lost and to send me a check. I wonder if that will get things moving?
