I needed to get my show room Datsun 1980 280zx 10th anniv car from CA to Fl. I called them and spoke with James O’Connor –senior consultant. I explained my situation and asked if the car could be picked up Monday between 8am and noon, I told him my situation and based on if this possible; I would need to book airfare, hotel rental car. He assured me we had plenty of time to get an enclosed trailer to CA to pick up my car; he said he would do his best to get it picked up in the am. I informed him I had 4 tires and rims that I needed to also go, he said NO PROBLEM. He told me to check in on Saturday and get the drivers phone number and we went over all the details again, step by step. He then gave me the drivers’ phone number. I left FL and headed to CA, I arrived Saturday; I called to driver to see about my pickup he told me he was in Northern CA and may not be able to pick up my car on Monday. I immediately called James and asked what was going on, he told me to call dispatch. I asked why he could not call the driver to see what was going on, since they supposedly own their own trucks and do not broker out, after arguing with James I called dispatch and spoke to Lucy who said she would call the driver and call me back, after an hour and NO phone call back from Lucy, I called and left 2 messages to call me ASAP, still nothing. After my 3 call to Lucy she finally tells me that the driver will get to me by 5pm Monday. Now on Monday 3:30pm comes and I call the driver and he tells me he will NOT pick up my car today as promised, I then call James –since my flight back to FL is soon approaching and he tells me these things happen, he does not have a crystal ball to see what going on now it will be Tuesday that the car is picked up, now I have to change my flight, book another night of rental car and hotel. James never told me that the car will not be picked up on Monday, after I went over every detail before making my plans. Tuesday, when the driver still did not arrived I was extremely upset and frustrated with James O’Connor and Lucy. I called and called and these people just lie and lie over and over, they just keep trying to tell you what you want to hear but they are lies. Finally on Wednesday they picked up the car but the driver would not take the tires with car, even after I arranged this beforehand. I understand the driver was subbed out and he is doing what his boss is telling him to. And the truck had a BIG hole in the back of the truck when it was closed, it was a piece of junk, but thankfully my car arrived, without damage James kept saying over and over he does not have a crystal ball, but this is why I went over everything ahead of time with him. After arguing over and over and him hanging up on me, he gave me a $100 discount BIG DEAL when it cost me over $400 more.
