I had been trying to ship my car from NY to OR since January 26. First paid AAA auto transport who took the full $1600 upfront and never scheduled my car. After 2 weeks of wrangling, I got my money back and hired Stateway because they have high ratings on "consumer affairs". Ha. Never believe anything on consumer affairs website. They are financed by the companies they review. Afte 2 weeks of excuses, Stateway said they did not have a full truckload so they couldn't ship my car. I was renting a car for 5 weeks while all these transporters played fast and loose with my order. Cost me about $1000 in car rental! I was getting desperate. I talked to JR. at. Direct Connect and he assured me they had a truck heading west and I didn't have to pay a dime until my car was picked up. Overall, my car was picked up one day later than scheduled and delivered a day later than schedule. I can deal with one day delays. Not 2-4 weeks like the other companies. I would use them again. JR is very polite and they have great customer service. The best part is the electronic record signing!! No printing. No faxing. Perfect.
