Signed a contract with Direct Connect Auto Transport (DCAT) for $1150 on a Monday. Was told they would pick up my car within 72 hours. After the 72 hours, I had heard nothing from them. Called 3 times and sent an email. Gotl no response. Called again the next morning, Friday. Was told they were having trouble finding someone to pick it up (they farm the work out), but thought that it would be picked up that day. Got no further info that day. Called back Mon morn. Was told it may be best to cancel the contract. So I did. Later that afternoon, I received an email stating that DCAT had charged $1300 to my credit card. And a few minutes later, a driver told me he was 2 hours away from picking up my car. Called DCAT, was told they had found a driver and that they charged my card the $1300. Said they couldn't get it done for the $1150. Because the driver was so close, and it was not fair to him to take it away, I signed a new contract and paid the $1300. When the contract was cancelled, I put it out on the internet and had prices as low as $750. I will get them their due, the driver picked up the car and delivered it sooner than expected. Still unhappy about the increase in the price. And, if they aren't positive that a car will be picked up in 72 hours, they shouldn't make the promise.
