Shipping Antique 1931 Model A Roadster

I am from Canada and I purchased a 1931 Model A Ford Roadster in Kansas that had been restored about 30 years ago. The car was in fair condition and would require a new interior, top and paint to bring it up to high standards again so I chose to have it shipped on a open carrier. If the car had been pristine then I would have shipped in an enclosed carrier. I talked to Bob Harmon at Direct Connect Auto Transport and instantly liked this guy. He was very honest and up front with me trying to get me the best possible shipping price. The area where the car was to be picked up was a little off the beaten path so Bob told me it might take a little time to find a carrier going through that area. We tentatively booked for a April 4th pickup but ended up with a pickup on April 13th and I have to thank Bob for staying on top of it. I had talked to other companies but their prices seemed high and of course they to promised to pick it up on April 4th but again it would depend if any carriers were in that area. Bob Harmon was a true gentleman and got the job done at a very fair price and on time. The day the car was arriving in Niagara Falls, New York Michelle kept me updated right from the start of a delivery time. If it changed even by a half hour she would call and let me know. I was very pleased with this service and Michelle was great keeping me posted and apologetic when the driver was one half hour behind schedule. I told her not to worry I was stuck in traffic on the bridge crossing from Canada to the US. Brian the driver arrived within 20 minutes of his ETA, pretty good for such a long haul. Brian was very courteous and had out run the Tornado's and hail down south to protect the cars he was carrying. Brian helped unload and guide the car on to the car trailer for transport back to Canada. He was a very good and careful with the cars he was transporting. I would definitely use this company again,
they looked after me and my 1931 Ford Roadster. Thanks again to Bob,Dara,Michelle and Brian
