As promised, shortly after I submitted my payment, I was contacted by a trucking company with an estimated pick up day. I was told the car was being picked up Friday afternoon. Most of Friday came and went without hearing from the trucking company. After contacting both the trucking company and Jessie at Direct Express several times on Friday, I finally heard directly from the driver Friday evening. The driving said he was picking up Saturdary afternoon. As soon as I was dealing with the driver it was a very smooth process and he stayed in touch and arrived right on time.
In summary, the only issue was with the pick up trucking comany's dispatch. Being in the distribution business for years and knowing how unreliable trucking dispatch can be, this is not surprising.
I would not blame Direct Express for being late and plan on using them again for any auto transport needs in the future.
