Called Direct Express 9:15 am EST on 3/2/18 to set up transport. Girl at Direct Express was efficient and pleasant and took care of business. Driver called 10:20 am same day and set pick up time for 7:00 am on 3/3/18. Driver from Auto Ship West Transport called in advance on 3/3/2018 and was on time for the pickup. Driver inspected car, loaded it and was headed to Florida by 7:30 am as my vehicle was the last one to load. He set delivery for 3/5/2018 and contacted my buddy in Florida who took delivery. Driver called him and gave a three hour window of 11 to 2 and showed up at 11:30. Driver brought the vehicle to my buddies house, they inspected it and my buddy gave the driver a ride back to his truck. I couldn't be happier with the outcome of this. I ended up using the rush option as I need the car in Florida and didn't want to mess around. I paid the driver $625 and Direct Express $175 and think that is a fair deal for a 1,200 mile trip in less than three days. As a point of reference, we're in the process of buying a new car that is getting shipped from Oakville, Ontario to the Detroit metro area. That is less than 500 miles and the shipping rate that Ford has on the sticker is $995. Go figure. Use these guys and pay the extra for your own peace of mind.
