Let me preface this by saying that the auto transport industry as a whole is pretty crappy. You’re paying 20% to a broker to create a listing on a freight bidding platform; There are no guarantees regarding anything – price, pick up date, delivery date, etc. What is guaranteed is that your car will arrive in one piece (it is insured up to $250k/$500k/$1M depending on the company). For the most part, most brokerages are all the same and do the same thing.
Direct express did those things well. They were responsive, matched me up with a driver quickly, and the driver turned out to be a lot better than the last guy who shipped my car.
TLDR: if you’re shipping a car, try and get connected with a transport company that’s does the actual transport. If you must use a broker, Direct Express is pretty good.
