I've used Direct Auto Express twice in the last 12 months, once to get a car from CA to VA and recently to get it back, and both times have been very satisfied. When I booked the first transport about a year ago, my situation was more time-sensitive and I got a bit nervous when I didn't hear anything back after about a week, but the staff were great about explaining how things worked and the car was picked up at the very end of my booking period. For the shipment back to CA, I was more relaxed, both because I didn't have a particular date in mind and because I knew how things would work (i.e., might take awhile to book, wouldn't have much advance warning about the pick-up, and might need to drive 5-15 miles for the pickup/drop-off point). Once again, the transporter's bid came in at the very end of the booking window, but once it was on the truck the car arrived quickly and in good shape--and I ended up with the same great driver I'd had for the trip east.
