I initially booked this company to ship my car from PA to TX not knowing that they're basically a broker-3rd party that has other carrier companies actually ship your vehicle. This company DOES NOT have its own carrier trucks. It took them 3 tries before they found me a carrier I was comfortable with. The first 2 carrier companies they assigned me had poor reviews, which I found on this very site!
Basically, you don't need this company to book a carrier! You can find an actual carrier on your own and do your own research on them before booking one. If you do use this company, be sure to check reviews of the carrier company they assign you. You may even pay less because I'm sure a part of this company's price quote is a premium for their broker service. With this said, the customer service was decent and responsive, and my car did make it to Houston, TX w/out any problems (Ambela Company was the carrier). They were also very accommodating when I wanted to change carriers- it was just annoying that I had to. All-in-all, just be sure do your homework, don't just blindly trust a carrier-broker, and be in control of who actually transports your vehicle as much as possible.

We appreciate customer Toby's kind words about Direct Express Auto Transport, but disagree with his assessment of the first two carriers. Most of the brokers and carriers belong to an association and we rate one-another. It is our way of sharing information and rooting out the bad apples. It is not accessible to the general public (not our decision) and is far superior a barometer of reliability of all brokers and carriers. Most drivers on the transportreviews.com board have a scientifically insignificant number of reviews, which tend to be negative, and cannot be used for a fair assessment. Here are the association numbers for the carriers Toby was assigned. Carrier 1 scored 99 percent with 53 ratings Carrier 2 scored 100 percent with 47 ratings Carrier 3 scored 100 percent with 309 ratings Toby rejected the first two carriers without realizing that they are actually very good, because he relied solely on this review board. Either would have handled his 1998 Toyota Camry without any problem we are sure. Toby also does not understand that door to door brokers are faster and less expensive than carriers who own their trucks, place vehicles in terminal lots, move them around many times, and wait for a full ten car load going in that direction. Read the DAS reviews to get a flavor of that. We thank Toby for his complimentary words and wish him good luck in all his future endeavors.
