I was looking to ship my 07 BMW 335i Coupe from Virginia to Arizona and started searching for quotes. If you had an experience similar to mine, you were contacted within minutes by a lot of companies, by really pushy salespeople and multiple emails offering various things like express pickup, gas cards (total scam!) and other ridiculous features. Was initially quite dizzying.

After looking at the reviews on this site, I found Direct Express Auto Transport, and honestly, I wish I had started with them first. Most other companies were quoting me $850 or higher to ship my car, that too with no guarantee that the car would be picked up anytime soon. They kept saying they had to offer a higher price so that the truck driver would be incentivized to pick up the car. But Direct Auto was very different. The friendly folks on the phone gave me a quote of $750 and said they'd contact me to let me know when my car would be assigned for pickup (they outsource the actual transportation of the car to other companies). I received an email within an hour that my car had been assigned to a transporter (FHT Auto Transport), and within a few hours got a call that a pickup date had been established!!

The pickup date had to be moved a couple of days (because of the long 4 Jul weekend), but they picked up the car on Tuesday (instead of Friday) and still delivered ahead of schedule in Arizona. They have two drivers to a truck so they made the 2300 mile trip in 3 days! On pickup at the dealer, the FHT Auto truck driver was very thorough with his inspection and called me to let me know that the car had been loaded. He then called when he was about 3 hours away from my house and arrived right when he said he would. Was extremely careful and courteous when unloading the car and was very pleasant to deal with. I've heard stories from other friends where they had to wait weeks before their car shipped - I got mine in three days! The car was a little dirty because of the dust accumulated on the cross-country trip. But otherwise, no problems at all.

Shipping something as valuable as your vehicle is a big deal, but it shouldn't have to put your life on hold. The folks at Direct Express did such a great job, and that's why I felt I had to write a review to let others know. Don't waste time going anywhere else - they will take care of you, without all the gimmicks that others try. I have to move again very shortly and know for sure that I will use them again.
