After looking on line for a transport company, then reading some reviews, I decided that this company "sounded" the most credible. They had a number of positive reviews and responded to negative reviews in writing-explaining their side of the story. I easily contacted them and had very straight-forward answers on what to expect and directions on how to prepare the car. This was the first time I shipped a car, so I asked more questions than the offered Q&A text on their site.
The total cost was going to be $825.00 (a bit less that some of the other transport quotes). A day after I confirmed my order with a $125 credit card the dispatch office called and arranged for a driver. (The balance was paid COD.) The driver, Stephan, called that afternoon and offered to pick the car up the next day, Friday, which didn't work for me. He then said he'd see me on Monday. There was no problem with pushing the pick up date out a few days and he arrived at my home within a couple of hours of his estimate.
On Monday, as stated Stephan called to alert me he was on the way. When he arrived, we met and he spent time inspecting the car before he drove it into the transport. It was a simple process that gave me confidence my car was safely on it way to Michigan.
The driver said he expected to arrive in Michigan a week later on either Friday or Saturday. He arrived on time, my brother called indicating that the car was in good condition and the driver was a knowledgeable fellow who followed through with calls alerting my brother of his arrival time. It all went very smoothly.
If all experiences hiring and depending on a service/company to do what it said, went as well as this one, life would be better indeed. My compliments to the organizing company, the dispatch and especially the driver, Stephen! Michael McDonell San Francisco Ca
