I bought a running car and was bombarded with estimates from carriers. Most were around $800 for this obscure California location to Indianapolis, and also there was one for $1300 and one for $625. I selected a carrier at $800, and after some disturbing miscommunications, I was told the $800 I agreed to wasn't enough and I needed to raise the price and I need to be patient. And then raise it again. So, what was the quote for? Three weeks and even higher payment promised amounts later, seven carriers were e-mailing me with "pick us instead!" and "we told you so!" and one carrier even called my cell phone three times a day every day...and my car hadn't moved an inch.
Enough. I need my car, not a ton of drama. I did a search for carriers and found Steve. He was honest, he assured me that if his quote was off he would eat the difference, and he also explained the real issue - that my car needed to move to a better location to get a truck to be able to pick it up. We reached an agreement, and he came up with a very creative and successful way to get the car to a location that the dispatcher could interest the drivers in. Bing, bang, boom, my car showed up the next week.
Steve was clear, honest, complete, accurate, and ultimately, got me the car!
There is simply no one else I would car for shipping in the future, and I also would call him for a quote to decide about shipping a car. I cannot thank him enough for all the help!
