My son called to compare shipping prices and Done Right negotiated an amount I agreed to. Initially, they stayed in "friendly" touch when wanting to win my confidence & business but I didn't know they are brokers and once contracted out to an available carrier your disappointment in waiting 24 hrs for a late pick-up is no longer their major concern. In all fairness , they did offer to return my deposit (I hope it was an honest gesture). if I had accepted a refund my son's car would have been much later because I would needed to start over to secure another company. In retrospect I wish I had. My contract was signed with a deposit on August 13, 2009 for an August 31, 2009 pick-up (ample time), not September 1st. My contract had one balance due upon delivery and the carrier showed a different delivery balance on his contract. I was told I was credited $50.00 and would receive a copy of the credit via email and would receive a follow-up call. Never received a credit or a call. The contracted carrier is out of some money because last I spoke to him he concluded to chalk up his loss. Before writing this review I checked with my card company and NO credit has been applied. You are in a referral business and many families want the ease of shipping rather than tackling a 12+ hour drive twice a year to colleges. PLEASE communicate and tell the TRUTH about the transport status/delays and any impending refunds/compensation. People will respect your honesty and trust your efforts for future transports. Remember: If I used you once I will use you again and refer you with confidence. As I write two families are comparing shippers to Virginia.

I hate leaving to anything more than a glorious review because I clearly understand in the real world things happen but always KEEP your valued new and old customers informed. You could have had a "sure" customer for the next three years, twice a year.

In praise of the carrier the car did arrive safe and damage free even if it was 1 day late leaving and 1 day late arriving. I have exhaled this experience and wish the company and contracted carriers well and safety going forward in daily business practices. Please avoid being labeled as liars because your first impression is lasting and often forever.
