I was shipping a car for the first time and was overwhelmed by all the companies out there and what they were offering. I was contacted by Door-to-Door with a great quote, but I hesitated to make a decision. I'm really happy I eventually chose Door-to-Door Transport, and I still managed to get the same great quote of $765, though I know those are not always guaranteed. Not only did they offer me the best price (other companies were asking upwards of $1000), they were extremely helpful on the phone and in their email correspondence. Their policy is clear and straightforward- I knew I would not be charged anything until the driver was on his way to physically pick up the vehicle. This was exactly the case. You should never choose a company that charges you up-front without having a driver assigned. I arranged pretty much everything over the phone with Tony, and it only took a few minutes. The earliest date I asked for the car to be picked up was Dec. 27th, and I figured it might be hard to get a driver right before the New Year. That said, when I emailed Tony on the 26th, he promised he would find me a driver and get back to me as soon as he had the information. Sure enough, I received a phone call within a few days informing me that they had a driver to come pick up the car on Jan 3rd, which was completely fine with me, and I was assured I would have it in 3 days. They were also true to their word on this. The driver contacted me when he was en route the day before to tell me when he planned to be there, which was helpful, and he also called me the day he arrived, Jan 6th, to let me know he'd be there in an hour. In all, shipping the car with Door-to-Door was a much easier, and probably safer, option for me than driving the car myself, which probably would have cost me almost the same amount in gas, hotels, etc. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to anyone needing to ship a car. I had companies tell me that it's almost impossible to find somebody to ship a car from the East Coast to Tulsa, especially at that price, but all I can say is Door-to-Door managed to do it, no problem.
