Door to Door contacted me via email in response to a request for a quote I submitted online through some 3rd party service. I called and left a message for Lola and she was very prompt in returning my call. She was also very nice. I liked that I could submit my order online, which was very convenient.

I placed the order on Monday morning and she told me that the driver would probably pick up the car sometime between that day and Wednesday and that he would give me a call to coordinate the pick-up. The driver was from a 3rd party vendor named Absolute Auto Transport.

The customer service was turbo-fast and responsive up to that point.

Wednesday was fast approaching and I hadn't heard from the driver. I called Door to Door and left a message - no one called me back. I emailed Door to Door - no one replied. Finally, I called the driver, Dino, and he called me back Wednesday afternoon. He said he would pick up the car either Wednesday night or Thursday by noon. I was slightly annoyed because I was under the impression that the car would have been picked up by then and well en route by Thursday.

However, Dino was very nice and very flexible with regard to the change in the drop-off location that I had to make. Also, once I did get in touch with him, he was considerate in giving me a heads up on when he would arrive for pick-up and drop-off.

I would have appreciated a little more communication from both vendors in letting me know what was going on. A simple status update or explanation as to why the pick-up was late would have saved me some frustration and aggravation in wondering if the shipment was actually going to happen or if they were just going to run off with my deposit. It also would have taken the sting off the fact that I had to spend more money on a rental car for the extra days.

Overall, everyone was nice and my car arrived in sound condition. I just would have liked to have been kept in the loop more.
