My son was in a car accident in Richmond,Virginia while working away from home (Jacksonville, Florida). Fortunately it was a small accident and he was not hurt. However, his car was damaged and could not be driven very far. We decided to have the car shipped back to the Jacksonville area to have our local mechanic assess the damages. Because my son is staying in the VCU area of Richmond, parking for too long can be an issue. And there is only street parking available. So it was important to get the car home ASAP. Greg from Emory was very helpful. I didn't know how to even begin to find a carrier to transport the car. Greg explained the procedure and began looking for a carrier immediately. Within a couple of days, Greg called me back and had a carrier lined up for the next morning. He provided the name of the carrier company, driver's name, and cell phone number. I called the driver the next morning and he assured me he would be at my son's home within a 1/2 hour to an hour. The pick up was very quick and easy. My son was able to make it to work by 10am. The car was delivered to our mechanic within 3 days (picked up on a Friday and delivered on Monday morning). We called the driver on Monday. He told us he was about an hour away. So we met him at the mechanic's to receive the car. This procedure went exactly as Greg explained to me from the beginning. The price was a very fair price. It was a little more than Greg had initially told me. But he had also explained in our first conversation that the pricing can vary based on the carrier, routes, etc... And since we were in a rush, we were unable to wait for the cheapest option. Other companies had called me. Some had customer service reps that could not explain the procedure to me. Some of the companies were high pressure sales people. I thought Greg understood the procedures and could explain how it worked without being a pushy salesman. Greg was able to take a lot of stress out of this unfortunate ordeal. I would use and recommend Emory Auto Transport again!!
