As of January 20th, Julie has been trying to remove this review. We have come to a resolution. Now we are just trying to get Transport Reveiws to remove this review. ORIGINAL RESPONSE: I apologize for this customers frustration and I emailed her hoping we can come to a mutually beneficial resolution in this matter. All along she wrote to me in emails that she was and is talking with other brokers who all were experiencing the exact same obstacles I experienced. In fact, that was how our relationship started, another broker had a hard time finding transport and Julies RV was already posted with that broker on Central. They did not get results, which is why the customer called Excellent.
Just last week she emailed me again she was talking with other brokers but they wanted an up-front deposit so this customer declined. We do not ask for anything up-front at Excellent.
I will not make excuses, I appreciate her frustration. We price our quotes by hand. I was basing this price on the fact it worked in the Summer of 2016 and I did get RV’s to go at that price last summer. I do not get paid for misleading my customers and I do care about getting the results my customers need.
The last carrier I spoke with, that asked for an increase, said that our price may be viable this coming summer again. This carrier explained that with the holiday price spike and the expensive winter conditions means the COD is seasonably higher now. He said our price might work next summer again (like it did last summer which is what my quote was based upon). Unfortunately, what carriers will accept changes depending upon many variables.
Julie, I never asked for an up-front deposit or charged your credit card so you did not pay me for my quote and I sincerely never tried to mislead you. The market is always changing. I genuinely do my best to price my quotes by hand. It is not a perfect science, unfortunately. I tried my best at a price that was viable 6 months ago and I do apologize for any inconvenience.
Again, that carrier stated this price might work fine again in Summer of 2017. Then, you see, the winter conditions are not so severe and expensive. The carrier also expressed more risk for the drivers in winter conditions that equates to more accidents and higher insurance, a risk they want to be compensated for. I apologize this price didn’t work at this time of year. I do genuinely mean that because I try to get the best deals for my clients. My fee never increases, it never doubled, the increase requests came from the carriers who offered to transport your RV.
I would refund Julies money, but she never paid me anything to refund. I worked for weeks on her behalf and did the best I could to give results without ever being paid.
I would like to get Julie the best results possible and would like to work together still and do think our price will work better in the summer as the carrier stated.
