On Oct. 14, we contracted with Express Auto Transport to pick up car in NY deliver to Fla. The salesperson (Kelly, who we are told is no longer there), told us she would schedule a time for the car to be picked up in 7 to 10 days. On that date a required deposit of 195.00 was charged to our credit card. After not hearing from Express Auto Transport, my husband placed a call on Oct. 19. At that time she asked to give them another week to find a driver,(two weeks from order), which we did. Subsequently after the company was unable to schedule a pickup, we called and cancelled the order on the 31. Customer service was apologetic that they could not perform the service, and said they would credit our account.
The following week, noticing that we had not per contract, been credited our deposit, my husband called an talked to Katherine who rudely informed him that "IT"S 7 to 10 BUSINESS DAYS!" Nov. 13 was the 10th business day, and the story is a nightmare from there. Customer Service transfers you to mnager, Keith, whose mailbox is always full, or doesn't return your call, and at one time we were even hung up on. Express Auto Transport in my opinion is a disreputable company and stands in breach of contract. I consider this stealing, and feel obliged to warn anyone looking for a transport company not take chances with this company. I still don't have my deposit for which no services were rendered, and will have to spend the time and energy to get my own money back.
