Susan was terrific working with me, very knowledgeable and informative on what to expect. My daughter was to meet Mario the driver on Wednesday in Gulfport about 2 miles from her apartment and she planned on trying to walk home due to she didn't have a ride before 5pm. Mario called her and arranged to meet at a truck stop 11 miles NW of where she lives and it was after 5pm so her fiancé was able to follow her and give her a ride home. She really enjoyed talking to him and she felt he was very sweet and funny and she was comfortable with releasing her car to him. Then while on the road Mario called and informed me the car would arrive on Friday by 8:30pm but no later than 9pm. He was concerned that the Wal-Mart parking lot I suggested may not accommodate his truck and asked if it was possible to meet him about 30 miles SW at a truck stop. I was unable to change my plans due to I didn't have anyone that could drive me that far that late. My fiancé had just had surgery that day and couldn't drive. I tried to MapQuest large enough locations for him to pull into but got all stressed out then thought "wait, this isn't what I should be doing". So I called Susan and she told me NOT to worry about it that the Wal-Mart 1/2 mile from my house will work fine. I had been informed that the trucks were about 85 ft long and can't go on certain roads. When it got close to the time to meet him I called, left messages, and texted. He didn't answer or return my call or text back. Then I worried that I misunderstood the time and got over to the parking lot and he wasn't there. I called and waited again for about 5-10 minutes. Then he called and told me he was right around the corner. My car was already waiting in the parking lot and he was done reloading the 5 cars he had to pull off to get mine off. He explained that he doesn't want his customers to wait while he unloads the car (which I appreciated him not wanting us to sit and sweat while waiting). I hadn't even thought about him unloading the car first, I just thought when he got there, I needed to be there. So that explained why I didn't get a returned call or text....he was a bit busy! :-) He appeared to really enjoy his job and was the funny and sweet man my daughter had described! Any other auto shipping I need will only be done by FHT. Also, I hope that if Mario is in the area, he will be our driver!!!!
