I used FedEx Passport to ship a 1964 Corvette from Ohio to Florida, and it was the smartest thing I could have done. I had gotten burned by a legal-but-disreputable shipper in a previous car transport, so I was wary going into the arrangements. My fears were unfounded with FedEx. They scheduled the shipment promptly, the car was picked up and delivered well within the time windows, and the driver was competent and thoroughly professional. The enclosed transport guaranteed that no harm would come to my car. The only thing I could possibly gripe about was that in their follow-up after picking up the car, FedEx said they would call me back with an exact delivery date, and that didn't happen. On the other hand, even getting a follow-up call is something many other shippers don't do. The driver called me a day in advance of delivery, so I was ready for him.
The bottom line is that FedEx Passport is a first-class operation which is very much worth the extra expense. If I ever have to ship another car, these are the people I'm calling.
