April 7, 2011 (3 weeks before pick-up date), I was given a quote of $620. Three days before the pickup date, I called Federated auto shipping to confirm date and approx time. Mr Gold proceeded to tell me that he was glad I called because he was going to call me (when???) to tell me that the price had changed from $620 to $850. I reviewed with him that he had taken my credit card information and we had a deal (written quote). He explained that the quote was fluid and that due to volume and gas price increases the $2330 increase was necessary. I spoke to a very overbearing, loud, abrasive manager who rudely set me straight on how the car transport business operates. I cancelled and am driving the car home myself.
