I found G&L on this website and decided to use them because of the stellar reviews and the fact that their quote was the most reasonable. They scheduled my shipment with another carrier, Downsouth Auto Inc. Both G&L and Downsouth provided good communication during the entire transport process. The pick-up was on time and the drop-off was a few days late, primarily due to the series of winter storms occuring at the time. My only complaint is that the car arrived slightly damaged (the damage was originally not visible as it was "hidden" under some snow). Downsouth has been responsive and we are currently in the process of resolving this issue. However, when I notified G&L about this and asked for their assistance and information as to the claims process, I was given a one sentence response that was not very helpful. The response was: "YOU NEED TO DEAL WITH DOWN SOUTH ON THIS FRED G&L"
I have only shipped my car once before this and it was not damaged, so I am not aware of the usual procedure for following up on claims. It would have been nice if G&L provided a bit more guidance. Had my car been seriously damaged I would be more disappointed by the response. Just something to be aware of... make sure you know your rights and responsibilities no matter who you choose. Aside from this, I am satisfied with my service (provided Downsouth follows through with payment for the damage).
