After trying to work with AARP and not given much in terms of communication and almost gave up frustrated, I had to cancel as I found they were not up to par and tested my trust. They did not give me a heads up on any window of delivery etc. and no heads up on possible delays with holidays. Just left me guessing for 3-4 days made me feel unassured and lots of fluff in the end the job ws not going to get done. Then I found this website and saw horrible reviews. I did not want to be stuck with 2 weeks complicated issues as such. I was the going to make the transport myself. Then, I found this G& L company on this website. I wish had started at this website in the beginning. G&L picked up my order immediately and gave me an honest and reasoable estimate of the delivery and in terms of what to expect of the process. They also worked to get this delivered for me within my needed dates even with the short notice. However I allowed them a window of time I had to work within preparing for a rental if I needed. Fred then gave me the dates of pickup and delivery upon a confirmed driver. It was faster than I had expected. They assigned me with TK special T transporters and picked up on time, and delivery is expected tonight as hopefully goes well as promised. I was also given the option for delivery in the morning which is fine by me. All of this within 4 days of notifying them! My toyota rav 4 is brand new. I would definitely work with them again . There is something said for the professional and work effort given by both the broker and transporter in my case. I believe this company probably has a better relationship with the drivers and transporters than say a company like AARP. Team effort gets the work done. It defiinitely showed here. I called everyday for updates, and she (I believe her name was tracy at TK Special T) was pretty knowledgable and patient with that. So that was nice to have someone work efficiently and straightforward about the process. Also a very fair price of delivery at $625.00. $100 deposit at time of driver contract and $525 to be given to the trucker. (AARP offered 575.00, but seriously not worth the headache-). My advice to anyone else doing this for the first time, be ready for a window of time 10 days at least for them to work a reasonable schedule, and be patient with a few days around the delivery and pick up times. At least this company is honest an communicates with you as best they can.
