Since this is the fist time that I ever needed a vehicle transported, I have nothing to compare my experience against. However, overall I felt very happy with the service that G & L provided. My Audi S4 was picked up from the dealership a few days after I initiated the process and was delivered to me a mere 4 days later! I placed the order at the end of April- which is one of the busiest seasons for auto transport (so I hear), however Fred at G & L seemed committed to getting my car to me ASAP despite the high demand for a slot with one of the apparently diminishing fleet of auto transporters (due to increasing fuel prices). Fred also seemed committed to finding me a reasonable price and admitted feeling guilty for having to charge 'so much'. The funny thing is, that what was 'so much' to Fred P was way below many of the quotes I received from other transporters- and these other transporters were telling me that I wouldn't get my car for a couple weeks!
My only gripe would be that the car was filthy upon arrival (exterior ridden with road dust, pollutants, and god knows what else)- In the future I would probably consider paying the extra for a closed carrier for that reason alone- It all depends how fanatical/meticulous you are about your vehicle.
