I arranged with G&L the transportaton of my son's truck from Colorado to Camp Lejeune, he is a US Marine waiting to deploy and needs his truck in the interim. The carrier was 1st Class Auto Transport out of Fayetteville, NC. Fred called at 9 am on 9/11 and asked if the carrier can come get it early, "this morning". I work 45 miles from my home but arranged to leave and drove home. AT 2 pm the carrier called and said he wouldn't find my house and If I could meet him at the gas station 1 mile away. I drove the truck to his carrier and he loaded it up. He also bent the antenna down and close it in the door so it would not catch. He broke down in Terre Haute for 2 days. Upon arrival at Camp Lejeune, The truck was filthy rotten dirty and there was damage to the truck's roof and tailgate. About the damage, The driver told my son "Someone put WHITEOUT on the truck damage and the rain washed it off... you are trying to pull something over" HUH??? HUH??? I immediatlry called Fred and he said to notate the damage. It was, I also took pictures before the truck left. I have not heard anything else from G&L nor 1st Class Auto about insurance claims and how to proceed. WHAT A WAY TO TREAT A US MARINE let alone a civilian.

Keep in mind G&L just puts these transport jobs on the WWW and whoever picks it up does the hauling. Both are responsible in my opinion and I will follow through for my Marine and make it right.

THE DAMAGE TO THIS VEHICLE WAS DOCUMENTED ON THE INSPECTION REPORT UPON PICK UP BY MR CARSON AND THE DRIVER. UPON DELIVERY OF THE VEHICLE, MR CARSON'S SON COMPLAINED THE VEHICLE WAS FILTHY AND ALL SCRATCHED UP AND WANTED TO CALL HIS FATHER ABOUT IT. MR CARSON GOT ON THE PHONE WITH THE DRIVER AND STARTED HOLLERING AND CUSSING AND USING FOUL LANGUAGE. THE DRIVER HANDED THE PHONE TO THE SON AND REQUESTED PAYMENT. MR CARSON CALLED FRED AT G&L ENTERPRISE @ 8.50pm 09-17 AND STARTED USING THE SAME FOUL LANGUAGE, CUSSING. FRED SAID HE WOULD LOOK INTO THE CLAIM. ON 09-18, FRED CALLED AND TRIED TO TALK WITH MR CARSON AND ASSIST HIM ON HOW TO FILE A CLAIM AND AGAIN WITH THE LANGUAGE. AS FAR AS G L IS CONCERNED MR CARSON CAN HANDLE HIS OWN CLAIM. WE TRIED OUR BEST TO HELP.
