I had waited a month before deciding to send my car. In the mean time, I had gotten 2 separate quotes about 2 wks apart. And the 2nd time around, I got the lowest quote from G&L. I had actually contacted another carrier about a wk prior to contacting G&L b/c it was the lower price at that time. However, the person who answered the phone at the other company admitted to me that the usual contact is out of town (first he told me he was out to lunch then he said he wouldn't be back for a few weeks) and he didn't seem to know what he was doing (which he admitted b/c he was just filling in.) I got nervous, which was when I had asked for a 2nd quote from other companies, getting the lower quote from G&L. So I found myself pretty lucky that I decided to wait and also get other quotes the 2nd time around, b/c G&L was cheaper by about $60.

I was surprised by how fast G&L found me a driver (1 day). The day after I sent in my information to G&L, I got a phone call saying a truck was available the same day. The car was delivered to Houston, and it got dirty (but that's not their fault. I chose an open carrier and it was raining on the way to TX.) It arrived very late in the evening (around 9 PM) but again, the truck had to get a tire change, so delivery was delayed by several hours.

We were always able to contact the driver via cell phone. He was nice and cordial.

Overall, this was a very smooth transaction. Things that G&L can't control: i.e. weather, i.e. flat tires, shouldn't affect their ratings. They were easy to work with and answered phones after hours (driver).

I'd definitely do business with them again should the opportunity arise.
